The mother of Nigerian content creator Speed Darlington has reached out to Grammy Award winner Burna Boy on social media, pleading for help following her son’s recent arrest.
Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, confirmed his involvement in the arrest, which came after Speed Darlington made derogatory comments about him online.

The fallout from his statements has led to significant repercussions, prompting his mother to seek assistance from Burna Boy.

He remarked, “It wasn’t long after Burna Boy posted a photo of him and Diddy that he won a Grammy Award. Burna Boy, don’t be offended, but how many oils did Diddy use on you before they gave you the Grammy Award?”
Initially, Burna Boy did not respond to the remarks, but he later chose to take action by involving the police, leading to the arrest of Speed Darlington in response to the alleged false allegations made by the content creator. An elderly woman has taken to social media, pleading for help regarding her son, popular content creator Speed Darlington, who has been missing for the past four days. She claims that Burna Boy, accompanied by seven police officers, came to their home to arrest her son after he made a controversial video about the singer and American artist Diddy.
With tears in her eyes, she went on bended knees, urging Nigerians to come to her aid. “Nigerians, please help me. My son Speed Darlington has been missing for over four days now. After he made a video about Burna Boy and Diddy, Burna Boy came to our house with his squad and police and arrested Akpi. Please, Nigerians, Akpi is my only son. Help me and beg Burna Boy to release my son,” she implored.
Her emotional appeal has garnered attention, as many rally to support her during this difficult time.
